An homage to ZanziBAR in the form of a map table🙌🗺️🌴🌊

The original piece of wood wasn’t suitable to pour resin on so over the course of 6 weeks I stripped it, filled it, levelled it, painted it and finally poured 5 L of resin to extend its circumference. About 14 coats altogether and I still would’ve liked to do one more - I just ran out of time and resin 🫣

The weight of the table is so enormous that when I attempted to lift it alone I thought I’d have a heart attack 😂.

Anyway - mighty proud of it and extremely happy it survived the many fires that seem to randomly happen in Zanzibar…almost as if gross negligence, coconut leaf roofs, and the lack of fire extinguishers is problematic and life threatening 🔥🔥🔥
